The policies listed below are in place to ensure that all our guests receive the most hospitable and efficient service possible.

Reservation Policy

Nightbird is a reservation-driven restaurant. We are happy to welcome walk-in guests and will accommodate them as much as possible, though seating is limited to our 25-seat dining room. If you have a seating preference, we will do our best to honor it. The largest group we can accommodate for a regular (non-private) reservation is 6. We offer a multi course tasting menu with an optional wine pairing. We are pleased to accommodate any dietary preferences or allergies to the best of our abilities. Please note that we do not split tastings.

No-Show and Late Arrival Policy

If a party arrives with fewer guests than confirmed without prior notice, we must charge for the number of guests on the confirmed reservation. Seating for any additional guests beyond the reservation cannot be guaranteed.

We kindly ask our guests to understand that, due to the small size of our restaurant and the two seatings each night, we can only hold your reservation for 15 minutes past the reserved time. Seating beyond this 15-minute grace period cannot be guaranteed, and if we are unable to seat you, a cancellation fee will be charged. If you anticipate a delay, please contact us as soon as possible at +1 (415) 829-7565.

Gratuity

A 22% gratuity will be added to the bill for parties of 6 or more.

Dietary Restrictions

Please indicate any dietary restrictions or food allergies when making your reservation and provide at least 48 hours' notice. You can also communicate your dietary needs via email at info@nightbirdrestaurant.com or call +1 (415) 829-7565. Due to the complexity and seasonality of our menu, we may not always be able to accommodate all requests, but we will do our best.

Children

Due to the length of the experience, we do not recommend bringing small children unless they can partake in the entire tasting menu.

Corkage Policy

A corkage fee of $75 per 750mL bottle, up to two bottles, and $150 per magnum bottle will be applied. We kindly ask that the wines you bring are not already represented on our list.

Cancellation Policy

As Nightbird is a small restaurant, if you need to cancel or reduce your party size, you must contact us by phone at +1 (415) 829-7565 at least 48 hours before the reservation for parties of 3 or fewer. Cancellations made after this 48-hour window will incur a charge of $195 per person on the card on file.

For parties of 4 or more, we require one week’s notice for cancellations. Cancellations within one week of the reservation will incur a full charge on the card on file.

Harassment Policy

Nightbird has a zero-tolerance harassment policy. Please treat our staff with integrity and kindness, as we gladly treat our guests.

Thank you for taking the time to review our policies. If you have any questions, please call the restaurant at +1 (415) 829-7565.
